VHPM’s Response to COVID-19
Like many of you – our colleagues, clients and friends around the world – we at Viksnins Harris Padys Malen have been closely following the developments relating to the new coronavirus and recognize the unprecedented impact that COVID-19 is having.
We have studied the recommendations established by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the World Health Organization, and in order to safeguard the health and safety of our personnel, everyone at VHPM (attorneys, agents, technical specialists, paralegals and support staff) have been equipped to work from anywhere with an internet connection. All of our internal systems and files can be accessed through a heavily secured virtual private network.
Additionally, we have instituted a plan so that all our personnel have “back-ups” to ensure business continuity and client service. Because several VHPM attorneys have worked remotely for many years, our office procedures were already tested, and we were able to smoothly transition the rest of our staff to a remote-work option. As of March 10, 2020, VHPM encouraged all personnel to work primarily remotely and we began conducting all group staff, attorney and management meetings by teleconference in order to help prevent an outbreak at the firm.
Please be aware there are no confirmed cases within the VHPM community, and the information we have received to date from health officials indicates the risk to our community is low. In light of the procedures that we have implemented, we do not anticipate any interruption to the service we provide our clients as we all work through the challenges presented by COVID-19. If you do experience any issues or have any questions regarding procedures, please contact Michelle McCullough at 952-876-4068. Please feel free to contact your regular attorney if you have any matter-related questions.
We look forward to having in-person interactions with you again once this crisis has passed.
